April t Young Corbett was given the decision over Tommy Mowatt, the fighting street car conductor, after six rounds of fast fighting at the Waverly Athletic' club tonight. Determined if pos sible to win by a knockout, Corbett started after Mowatt as soon aa they shaped up for the first round and In every possible way endeavored to bring the contest to a peedy end. Mowatt appeared timid at first and Cor bett had things all his own way during the first three minutes, but from that time n the Chicago boy stood his ground and swapped punches wth the former cham alon. Although 'Le latter Invariably had the better . each rally, still Mowatt reached Corbett with powerful right swing, to both the body and the jaw. Corbett was the stronger of the two and tad the better of every round except the third: In that rolind Mowatt reached Cor bett's law with numerous right and left uppercuts and the Denverlte wore a ser ious look aa he went to his corner.
