WE recently purchased at public auction a large collection of Oriental Rugs that
were consigned to a well known Baltimore dry goods house that makes a spe
cialty of fine Oriental Carpets. On their arrival in this country they were refused by
the consignee. The entire lot was sold at public auction in bale lots to the trade. We
were large buyers and secured some big bargains. Oriental rugs are not one of our
regular lines, so we will sell them tomorrow at prices that are bound to clear them all
