WALKER CASE BEFORE COURT
Application for lajanetloa Is Argued
by Wright aad Colored
Boss.
The application for a restraining order
which was brought by Victor B. Walker,
colored. In his capacity as president of
the Silver Leaf club, whereby he seeks to
estop the frequent arrests which the police
have made' of persona In his piacs ot ouai
ness on Dodge street, at the headquartere
of the Silver Iaf club, was argued before
Judge Baxter this morning. .
City Attorney Wright produced some af
fidavits tending to prove the fact that
Walker's reputation was bad. Walker ar
gued that the local police should not be
permitted to raid his place repeatedly. It
waa auid that none of the officers ever at
tempted to arrest Walker, but that they
always went ater someone else In the re
sort. Walker also urged the fact that the Sli
