The report of the association's buslnses
for the half-year period shows steady prog
ress In frugality and home getting. In round
numbers the earnings amounted to 826,600,
From this will be deducted the dividend.
817,300, and expenses, 84,200, leaving a bal
ance of 84.00 for the reserve fund.
During the six months the association's
assets Increased 845,000, and during the year
8114,000, the present total being 8686,600. A
significant feature of the report, reflecting
local Industrial condition, Is the Increase
In withdrawals. During fhe flret half of
the year, withdrawals amounted to 878.400
and In the last half tt9,9U0, a total of 1168,-
800. The greater part of this sum was In
vested In homes. Evidence of local proa
perlty Is suoplled In sn equally gratifying
way by the marked Increase In loans repaid
and cancelled. The total for the year was
IllB.aX), more that double that of the pre
ceding year.
The receipts for six months were 8239,400
and for the year 8455,900, yet this vast sum
did not fully meet the demand, and the
prospects are even more favorable for horns
getting during the new year. The associa
tion has 2,700 shareholders. -
