The data ef the arrival of the Thirtieth
United States Infantry at Fort Crook Is
Hot definitely known at department head
quarters. The arrival of the regiment is
looked for any day at Ban Francisco bow,
aa the transport bearing; it has already
passed the Hawaiian islands. There Is a
possibility that the regiment may reach
Boa Francisco , this week. It will remain
there a few days before departing for Ne
braska, which may bring- it) here, before
Christmas, though this is not by. any means
certain. The headquarters, field, staff and
band with eight companies will be Sta
tioned at Fort Crook, and two companies
at Fort Logan H. . Roots, Ark., and two
companies at Fort Reno, Okl.

On complaint of David McQulre, special
police lor. the B. at M. railroad, John
Morarity was arrested by Detectives Davis
and Mitchell and charged with stealing 600
pounds of brake shoes. It also la allege
that Morality stole the shoes (from off
freight cars standing In the company's
yards. McQuIrs contends that Morarity
baa been following this business for nearly
a year, but that not until recently has he
been able to fasten a crime upon him.
When arraigned In police court Morarity
pleaded guilty to petjt larceny and was
lined $2S and costs.
