week receipts have been about tha same
as for last week, but as compared with
the correfeponuliig week of last year there
Is a decrease of about 3,000 head.
There has been quit an Increase mis
week in the receipts of corn-fed steers,
but most of those to arrive nave been
warmed up and snort-fed stock and have
not sold to good advantage. As compsred
with the close of last week, there la very
little change In ruling prices. The com
mon kinds, of course, sell unevenly, and
tor that leason some sales look much bet
ter than others, but as a general thing the
prices ralQ are about the same as a week
go. The demand for th better grades of
curn-reda lias been oouv au tne weea,
with prices fully steady. Good to choloe
corn-feds may be quoted from 14.60 to 3510
fair to good irom 4.26 to 84.60, and warmed
up catt.e irom 33.60 to 84.25.
The cow market nus been active most
of the week and prices. If anything, are a
little Mgher than at the 0 ose of last week.
The Lovance, however, Is confined- very
laigely to tha latter grades and would be
coteied by 10c and In extreme cases by 16c.
Canners and cutlers are ldoui steaay ana
are selling from 11.76 to 32.40. Fair to good
cows go from (2.40 to 32.7.1, and good to
choice from 32.76 to 33.00, with an occasional
sale a little above that, klulta a few corn-
feds are beginning to arrive, but they are
mostly short-ted and sell In about the same
notches as grassers of the same quality and

Bulls, veal calves and stsgs arc sun sell
ing In about the same notches they have
been for the last several weeks.
