troducing Into the curriculum of the
schools of the state, manual training and

The art committee especially commends
the work of clubs plscing works of srt

exhibits that have been provided by many
clubs. It further advises attention to ths
arts and crafts movement and hopes to be
able to provide good programs for Art8

The household economics committee says
frankly: "We are living too far from the
kitchen, the heart of all homes. We are
slowly but surely disgracing this family
altar, delegating; It priestly offices to bar
barian hands. In other words, we have
degraded kitchen work and placed a social
ban upon all worries who dare to take It
up as a means of livelihood. We trust
that no club will turn from this without
giving at least one hour during the year
for the consideration of this vital question.

of why kitchen work should be thought
degrading and the best means of changing

plan for several district meetings to be

There was a meeting of the club women
of Council Bluffs last week to plan for ths
entertainment of the meeting of the Ninth
district of tbe federation, which will be
held in Council Bluffs December 1 and 1
