POUND MILTON JUST FOR FUN
Omahans Light On to Their Former Com
rade for Fourteen Eafe Osev '
DRAG SCHAFSTALL OUT OF THE MIRE
Hangers' Persistent Blagging a,
per Fielding Hare Cowboys from
Taking Vtetorr at Kipense
of Loral Maliman.
Omaha simply made mince rrwat of the
young man Absalom Milton, at Vinton
tract park yesterday. They Jumped on
him with both feet and kicked out fourteen
hlta, four of which were doubles and two
triple. But Omaha had to bat at this
terrino fait to keep ahead of Bchafstall,
Vho aeemed determined at critical times
to aire the came to Kansas City. He held
tha visitor down to a pair of hlta up to
tho alth Inning, then took a balloon ride
which laated for the next three bouts. The
Kaw Kawa pounded, out fire hlta, with a
total of eight runs, the run being facili
tated by donations of two bases on balls
and two windjammers.
That man Kahl, who stood over at third
for Nichols, proved himself a sad affair.
Ha had four chances and accepted one of
them. His trio of errors were of the rank
est aort, tha kind that, let In rune.
Kelly and Carter were the only Rangers
who did not .get a hit and yet they batted
to advantage. Carter kept up his clip of
drawing wide onea, walking- to first twice.
Bhugart and Miller eat In the amen corner
when It came to batting. Bhugart pasted
tha leather twice for a double and once for
a three-bagger and Miller lined out two
singles and a double. And the beauty was
that something waa doing each time these
two gentlemen hit But when you're speaks
tng of batting, you must remember that
pair of old-time sluggers, Hlckey and
Oondlng, each of whom drew two safe
onea, one of Hlckey'a being a double and
one of Johnnie's a triple. Arid they
counted, too. Eddie tore off three of the'
runs hlmaelf, beside, the other damage.
Qenlna continued to boost hla batting rec
ord, being there twloe when It was hits
that were wanted. It really got to be a
faroe the way Omaha pounded the young
man who waa on Its own pitcher's staff for
a whllo this seaaon.
Omaha Fields Baperbly.
With "four errors credited against them,
It would seem that the Rourke children did
some rank fielding, but the contrary Is the
case..' Miller's error came by hla failure to
hold on to a ball for which he had run two
miles and. a quarter and the others were
of a similar nature. The men simply were
covering, ground and not playing any record
ball. They gave Schafetall superb support,
which, with their slugging, turned the tide
that three time started against' them. -,
Omaha may Justly renew its claim to
"tbt lucky seventh." The seventh was
the hoodoo to the Cowboys yesterday, cer
tainly. Five runs were added to the local's
column during that period -of the spasm.
Hlckey, was the first man to bat and he lit
on tha ball for two bases. Johnnie Oondlng.
with malice afdrethought, t trounced the
pigskin then for three base. Just to show
thai ha could go Hick on better,. This, of
course, compelled Eddie to go home and
Bchafstall sent Oondlng across tha r plate
with a single, -whereupon Nubbins ..Carter
arose and smote the ball for a sacrifice.
Oenlns Just for fun drov the sphere down
Into left for a base, Miller, who had made
a hit every tlmeup to this Inning, sent a.
long one out Into center, which Keachajn
gathered In; Big Jack Thornton waa forced
to take hi baae on four wide one and
Bhugart lammed out two-bagger Nfli- I tot
him. By the time Kelly, the ninth batter
that Inning, had gone out to Ketcham,
everybody, save Bhugart. was .past home,
netting five runs. The agony started again
In the eighth, but. stopped after two runs
had been scored.
It was a peculiar fact that Kansas City
mad moat of Its run each time after two
men were out . The a core:

Every season has its own diseases, but Rheumatism
belongs to all, for when it gets well intrenched in the
system, and joints and muscles are saturated with
the poison, the aches and pains are coming and go
ing all the time, and it becomes an all-the-year-round
disease; an attack coming as quickly from sudden chill
ing of the body when overheated, a fit of indigestion or
exposure to the damp, Easterly winds of Summer as from
the keen, cutting winds and freezing atmosphere of Winter.
Rheumatism never comes by accident. It is in the
blood and system before a pain is felt. Some inherit
a strong predisposition or tendency;. it is born in them;
but whether heredity is back of it or it comes from im
prudent and careless ways of living, it is the same always and at all seasons. The real cause
of Rheumatism is a polluted, sour and acid condition of the blood, and as it flows through
he body deposits a gritty, irritating substance or' sediment in the muscles, joints and
lerves, and it is these that produce the terrible pains, inflammation and swelling and, the
nisery and torture of Rheumatism. No other diseasefcauses such pain, such wide-spread suffer
ig.:. It deforms and cripples its thousands, leaving
hem helpless, miserable invalids and nervous wrecks. HIS WIFE A GREAT SUFFERER.
, When neglected or improperly treated, Rheumatism
iccomes chronic, the pains are , wandering or . shifting
'roin one place to another, sometimes sharp and cutting,
igain dull and aggravating. The muscles of the neck,
.shoulders and back, the joints of the knees, ankles and
wrists, are most often the seat of pain. Countless lini
ments are rubbed upon the affected parts, and plasters v are applied to get relief, but such
things do not reach the poisoned blood; their effect is only temporary; they are neither cura
tive nor preventive. The blood must be purified, the acid poison counteracted, and all
irritating matter removed from the circulation before permanent relief and a thorough
cure is effected, and no remedy does this so certainly and so quickly as S. S. S. It com
lains not only purifying and tonic properties, but solvent qualities as well,, all these being
necessary in eradicating the poison and making a omplete and lasting cure of Rheumatism.
S. S. S. cleanses the blood of all irritating matter and the acid particles are dissolved and filtered
out of the system, thus relieving the muscles and joints and removing all danger of future
attacks. Under its tonic effect the nervous system regains its
normal tone and the appetite and digestion improve, resulting
in the upbuilding of the general health. S. S. S. contains
no Potash or minerals of any description, but is guaranteed
purely vegetable. Old people will find it not only the best blood
purifier, but a most invigorating tonic just such a remedy
as they need to enrich the blood and quicken the circulation.
Whether you have Kheumatism in the acute or enronic
stage, the treatment must be internal, deep and thorough in older to be lasting. Never be sat
isfied with anything less than an absolutely perfect cure. This you can. get by the use
of S. S. S., the oldest and best purifier and greatest of all tonics.
Write us fully and. freely about your case, and medical advice will be given wthot
charge, and bur special book on Rheumatism will be mailed free to all dwWng it.
