COLORED LAD BOUND OVER
Yosngiter of Nino Years Must Stand
Trial Before District Cosrt on
Charge ot Theft.
Clyde Clifton Taylor, an Incorrigible col
ored lad of 9 years, was bound over to the
district court by Police Judge Berka in
the sum of $100. The little fellow reached
his chin up to the Judge's stand and pleaded
to be allowed to go free, but It was of no
avail. On many oooastons he had been in
police court, and yesterday a colored
man appeared against him. He stated that
the boy had asked to stay all night at his
house, and the request was granted. The
next morning Clyde left the house, taking
with him a pair of shoes that he had
stolen from the room. His mother, so the
polio testified, did not take car ot him
and h was allowed to run at large. Judge
Berka tried unsuccessfully to comfort th
boy by telling him It was for his own good.
