A LEGAL RESERVE COMPANY
The Bankers Reserve Life Policy
Hod;ra at a Special Meeting Last
Monday Chanted the Name to
BANKERS RESERVE LIFE COMPANY.
And Adopted Articles of Incorpora

The Bankers Reserve Life Association has
dropped the word "Association" and sub
stituted the word "Company." and Is now
the Bankers Reserve Life Company.
At a meeting of Its policy holder held In
Omaha Monday, July 27th, without a dis
senting vote, amended articles of Incor
poration were adopted whereby the business
of this association from and after July 30th,
1903, shall be technically on the so-called
"OLD LIXE" LEGAL RESERVE BASIS.
The Association wrote standard policies
at standard, level premium rate, main
tained a legal reserve and was to all In
tent and purposes a standard premium or
old line level premium company, though
organized under the stipulated premium
act of 1R96. The amended articles make
the company technically as well a actu
ally a legal reserve company, and the carp
ing criticism of
SMALL SORDID ALIE AC.EJTS
will no longer have that frail shadow of a
foundation, for the amended article of In
corporation ixre modeled after the charters
of the New York Life, Mutual Life and
other so-called old line compantea doing a
level premium life Insurance business upon
the mutual plan. For thirty days the pro
posed amended articles have been printed
and In the hand of the policy holder of
BANKERS RESERVE LIFE.
' The confidence of the more than 2,000
policy holders of this company In the man
agement Is demonstrated by the fact that
a! large majority took Interest enough In
the proposed change of charter to express
to the home office In writing their1 ap
proval, and over 1.850 votes were cast for
the amended articles at the special meet
' KO POLICY HOLDER OBJECTED
or questioned the advisability of the move
ment. On the contrary, as the record
shows, every policy holder who partici
pated directly or Indirectly In the proceed
ings gave his formal assent, and the at
torney general of Nebraska, after a week
of careful consideration, gave his unquali
fied approval to the amended articles, and
tho auditor of state, after mature reflec
tion, united with the attorney general In
pronouncing the new charter satisfactory
and gave his official approval.
D. II. nOBISOX, PRESIDENT
of the Banker Reserve Life Company,
say the new charter 1 the best In Amer
