police force he said that ha waa 18 years
old July 23: that last Saturday he had
rented a room at 609 North 8liteentb street
for one week and that he and the Miller

While they gave these names to the police
it la said their right name ia Johnson and
that they are cousins. According to the
police they have been stealing Jewelry
around the .department tores for several
weeks. On one occasion they went to the
Boston store and there atole seven rings
and on another occasion, so the police say,
they were caught with a bag full of alt
kinds of Jewelry. Special Officer Orler ar
rested them and upon tha gtrle returning
the property and signing a release they
were not prosecuted. In a pawnshop. It Is
said, they secured a watch and a ring.
The Hansen girl was arrested several days
ago and the Miller girl yesterday after
noon. It was through the Miller girl that
Grobe waa arrested.

Corbett knocked out "Jack" O'Neill of this
city tonight In the fifth round at the Na
tional Athletlo club. The first three and
a half rounds were tame, O'Neill avoiding
the champion's rushes. In the fourth round
O'Neill hit Corbett three glancing blows
on the Jaw and was about to deliver a
fourth when Corbett dropped to hla knees
to avoid it. This gave the local man con
fidence in the fifth round, which provjd
fatal. He met Corbett'a rushes and In an
unguarded moment received a terrific right
hand punch on the Jaw which sent him to
the floor and he was counted out.
