Tha case ot tha state against Robert Stromyer Is on trial before Judge Estelle. Btromyer Is charged with kidnaping, the offense consisting in taking his child, Ella Stromyer, from the custody of A. W. Clark, March SO. The child was taken from Stromyer and his wife and given to Clark In September, 1899, Judge Baxter, who was then on tha county bench, de ciding that the father and stepmother were not the proper persons to care for It.
