CHANGE FROM CUSTOM OF PAST YEARS CsMtsresitst Pregrans t Be Glvea Friday Iklskt sis Sealer Class Will Have Basasel at Mil. lard Saturday Sight. The last week of the year U02-CJ in the Omaha High school has been divested ot good deal of tha distinctiveness and Interest that marked the closing days ot previous years by deliberate purpose. It was found by both faculty and students that the routine affairs of the last week occupied about all the energy and time which they had at command, making the successful carrying out ot elaborate class- day programs work of much effort. Last year the senior class day doings were specially elaborate and aa a result the members of the graduating class and the principal and teacher, were thoroughly exhausted and were unable to finish the Important business of grading and classi fication, etc., promptly on time. As a result It was decided to have the closing exerelsea as simple aa possible this spring, transforming the class-day practices of the senior, into a banquet at the Millard hotel Saturday night and -a senior social later In the month. Nothing out ot the ordinary wa. arranged for the graduating exercise, at the Orpheum Friday night, and In fact the dealgn was to eliminate the trappings and the burlesque ritual as much aa possi ble. In order that the cadets might get away to camp this werk final examinations were held, and as a matter of fact the laat week will be occupied by little save a general roundlng-up and the transactions ot the purely business side of school Ufa Ta Visit Cadets' Caatsi. It will be enlivened on Tuesday by an excursion to the battalion camp at Auburn, where 4 lads are camping at the fair grounds, and most of the girl, ot the school with parents and other relatives will go down. Friday of the present week and Monday and Wednesday ot the next will be spent In ch.ol by the girls, but their work will not be of any sorlou import, consisting of reviews and general red tatlona. At the end of the day the student will have a com plete account of bis standing, which he turn. On Thursday, also, the ! 1.000 text book, used In the High school will be turned In and checked so that none will be missing. Rehearsal Tharsday Afteraooa. Late in the afternoon the senior, will go to the Orpheum theater and rehearse In part the formalities they will carry out Friday night before congratulating relatives and friends. There will be little in this proceeding to worry them, as six member, of the class will do all the talking and discuss the weighty questions that have found favor with sweet young girl, and tripling, from time Immemorial.
