COMMENCEMENT AT BELLEVUE

Bryan and Some Other
President Kerr haj announced the pro
gram for commencement week exercise at
Bellevue college June 7 to 11. He will de
liver the baccalaureate sermon Sunday
morning and the baccalaureate address will
be Sunday evening by Nolan Rica Best,
editor of the . Interior, Chicago. Monday,
Tuesday and Wednesday there will be ath
letic events. Including track sports, tennis
and the collegiate-prep base ball game.
Monday evening there wi'.l be the senior
class exercises, Tuesday evening the An
nual entertainment by the department of
music and elocution and Wednesday even
ing the "Junior prom," the great social
event of the year. The board of trustees
will meet Wednesday.
Thursday morning will be given over to
the commencement exercises of the twelve
graduates. Hon. W. J. Bryan will deliver
the address. At Its close the crowd will
have a basket picnlo on the campus and
the alumni and ex-students wi'.l have their
luncheon and business meeting.
Sam Murphy and two assistants will have
a balloon race and sensational . parachute
jumps at Courtland Beach today.

During his few days in office Building
Inspector Withncll has been informed of
nearly a aozen rrame buildings being
erected In the fire limits without the neces
sary special permit. He lias made personal
investigations and ordered each one torn
down. One structure was a large barn at
Fourteenth and Mnson streets. It was Just
about ready for occupancy, but the Inspec
tor declared It must come down and has
given positive orders to that effect.
