"Pa" Rourka'a agsreeatlon of ball toaser
got tot-ether yesterday at Vinton Street
park and knocked a nice, rlpa apple off of
the tree In the snap of the game by a ecore
f I to 4. It waa one of those kinds of
games that you read about and that tha old
boy. tell about. It waa axhllarating In all
of Ita ramifications.
Henderson pitched a game tor Omaha
that make him look Ilka a man with a
reputation. If ha had started In a law
office at $2 a week he might have become a
millionaire, but "Papa" Bill has spoiled
that. He haa lost hla opportunity and now
ha Just haa to pitch bull. But he can do
that If he keeps on like ha did yesterday.
They only got aeven hits off of him, but
they bunched them on him In the seventh.
As for Wo'.fe. the dinky man from tha
Philadelphia Nationals. Uttle need be aaid.
All who aaw the game can readily see how
Peoria happened to get him. He waa almply
pie for Carter and Oenlna and tha other
eliding home yesterday. Today's game was
a poor one. Score:

Omaha atarted out right. Thlel waa first
up and lambaated tha ball Into Dolan's
hand, then Shugart drew a pane to first and
Laiott picked out a ball and dabbed It
over to Stewart, and they were doubled up.
The crowd waa satisfied that maybe Omaha
could play ball anyhow and rattled down
to watch the game.
So It went with both aides for four cheery
Innings and nary a side past third, al
though tha Rourkelte wer landing on the
ball In every conceivable manner and quite
often. In the fifth Henderson got busy and
butted in with a aingle, then Carter started
to make hla third hit of the day, but his
bat allpped and he fouled out. Oenlna
knocked a stnele and Henderson reached
third while Oenlna was trying to stretch it
a base. They got Oenlns between two lus
cious distillers and began playing a little
town lot gam and Henderson started
home. Wall aaw him and sought to cover
himself with glory by throwing him out,
but he didn't know Henderson's fingers
wer crossed, and It went under popular
Bill Wilson. Then Wolfe rounded up tha
ball and threw It over second base with th
Intent of lariating Oenlns. but Oenlns
smiled and cantered In while they were
ohaalng up tha ball. Well, that waa all for
the Inning. In th next they started at It
again and they got Dolan around on a caa
a sacrifice and a aingle. That made It to
o ana tne bleacher smiled.
Ah! But woe waa the lot of one Hender
son thla next Inning. Holly sauntered to
first on four wide ones and Friend Bent th
ball clear to tha fenc and secured one
nsg on it. -ribald then came In all of hla
glory and fancy rage, but It waan't for
him to touch th ball even. Wolf dragged
a hit out of th rummage sale and ther
wer three on basea. Thlel hadn't a hit
yet, and so he started out to do thing
and shot it out in right, but Carter ran
after U. fell down, got up again and
grabbed It by th aoruff of the neck, but
couldn't get It bom before on run had
cantered In. Not that It would have mat
tered much, a Shugart and Lasotte eaoh
drew singles and brought In two mor

Wild Tim for Omaha.
In Ha half of the Inning Omaha could do
nothing, but they laid low and in th eighth
got busy for fair. It waan't ball. It wa
a holocaust, a mtasacr and wholesale mur
dar combined. Stewart started It with a
double to left and Patterson knocked a
pretty on Into Lasotte' hands, but h

they took a whirl at It and while Thomas,

all out of whack
The causes that lead up to it are many. Sometimes it Is the
frequent recurrence of violent, nervous headaches, overwork,
worry, dyspepsia, or ROUie lingering' chrriia disease. This
latter is more often the case with women.
As the mainspring is to the watch, no is the nervous sys

it is called upon to do. If your wife, your mother, your sister or
your daughter won't take care of her rorvous system, then you
