Street Hallway Accident In
Chicago.
CHICAGO May T. Twenty persons were
Injured, a few seriously, in a collision be
tween two southbound Halsted street
fclectrlo cars at Forty-tmrd street, early
today. One woman was taken from the
wreck and carried Into ji adjoining store.
It Is believed her Injuries are fatal.
The conductor on the rear car, H. S. Lock
wood, was thrown through the window aud
sustained serious injuries. The collision
was due to an accident to the running gear
ot the forward car.
