Greenhorn Gold Mining Co.
of 3umpter, oretoii,
Offers 75,000 Shares at 10c Each to Begin Work.
Situated In the Orwuhorn Mountain Mining District. In Baker County, OreKon-not a
prospect, but a yllt-edged mining proporty-u thoroughly developed vein of free milling
Working Assays $74.04 Per Ton
The oldest property In this now famous district, and In one placer washing some years
ago produced
Gold to the Amount of $16,000.
Specimens of ore from this rein In our office free gold can be seen distributed
through the rock. We offer stock In what Is dstlned to be one of the richest gold
mines of this section. The proierty Is controlled and operated by mining men of rec
ognised ability, undoubted Integrity and high standing. One of those heavily inter
ested la
Judge Jacob Fawcett of Omaha, President.
Principal owner of the Psyche mine, which property la rated worth $500,000.
Development An incline shaft has been runk 105 feet and a drift run about 00 feet
to the vein, the shaft house Is equlpied with a boiler, engine and hoist capnble of sink-,
Ing 400 feet Fourteen hundred feet of tunnel work has been done, exploring and lo
cating the vein, and some short drifts have been ruu, on the vein, and the ore stoped
out in many places. .;.
More money Is needed for further developing the property, for which 75,000 shares
of the capital stock, fully paid and nonassessable, Is offered the public at 10c per
share. Many Inquiries have reached us for stock In the mine, which fact points to an
early advance In the price of the stock. It. I Farmer, one of the best known and
successful prospectors In this .section, says of this property:
OHEKNHOKN, Ore.; January 21 1003. W. P. Ktllen, Esq., Sumpter, Ore.: Dear
Sir: Answering your recent request to tell you what I know about the Greenhorn
Mine, permit me to say that I have known It since 18r, and have been famlllnr with Its
history since then, as I have resided In the district since that time. In ISiW I saw 80
pounds of nraalgam,. worth from $14 to $13 per ounce, or a total of about $10,000, taken
from the surface washings of the Greenhorn, which was known as the Greenhorn Skim
tnorhorn claim, owing to the richness of the surf nee deposits. This waa the richest
surface showing of any claim In the entire district " '
1 saw not lew than 70 feet of good ore In the shaft, that assays from $50 to $150
per ton, and I have been through the drift from the bottom of the-shaft 00 feet snd I
found It highly mineralized. I am, perhaps, the oldest .'prospector In the Greenhorn
District being here since 1805. I located the Enow Creek,' which ,was Jnst sold for
$75,000; the Diadem and the Alamo, both of -which are valued vin the hundreds' of thou
sands, and I can unhesitatingly and unreservedly say that In my Judgment the Green
horn Is more promising than any of these were at the same stage of development
Yours truly, t t R. L. FARMER.
The purchase of stock In this mine Is not a speculation, but a bona fide, safe and
conservative Investment The time to purchase stock In the company Is now, before
the advance occurs. Address all communications to -

Greenhorn District
Baker County, Ore., has four brilliant examples. Snow Creek, one year ago
vii an unknown prospectt today it is estimated at about $1,000,000. Psyche,
Morning and Phoenix, of the same district, have grown from prospects to val
uable mines ia the same time.

The above Illustrates the incline shaft, Ita drift and proposed shaft. It
could also be used as a base upon which to estimate the amount and value of
ore in sight In the vein. With drifts run on the vein and then upraising-,
the value of the ore in eight would run Into the hundreds of thousand dollar
value very rapidly. A drift on vein at bottom of 100 feet with an upraise of
135 feet in a 12-foot vein would irlve 162,000 cubic feet of ore.- This divided by
13, the number of cubic feet of this ore per ton, equals 12.461 tons; at but $15.0)
per ton would give a value of $186,913. When we realize that the vein ex
tends for 1,500 feet on our land, and that instead of sinking but 135 feet we
. could as well sink 2,000 feet, and that values Increase with depth, the possi
bilities of our mine become apparent. -
