MME. GYLMER,
OMAHA'S FAVORITE PALMIST.
"God placed signs or seals In the band of man. that all men might know their
worka." Job X7-7.
"'Length of days lay in her right hand, and riches and honor In her left." Prov.
-16. "What evil is in mine hand-" 1st Samuel J6-la.
The above are tannages of scripture hich show that palmistry Is of ancient
origin. The following are two Important predictions made by Mme. Gylroer whlcb.
were formerly published lr The liee.
The Late Chief of Police White's Death
Predicted by the Celebrated Palmist,
Madame Gylmer.
Acting Chief of Police Donahue, Captain
Iler and Oscar Karbach. the late Chief
White's secretary were Interviewed yes
terday by a Bee representative regarding
the prediction above mentioned. Acting
Chief Donahue said that Chief White had
told him that Madame Gylmer had read hia
palm, and that many things she had pre
dicted had "come to pass." He said that
Chief White also spoke of the death pre
diction, but apparently did not attach
much importance to that. Captain Her
said that Chief White bad spoken about It
to him, and during the conversation, men
tioned the fact that the madam had pre
dicted hta death, and said that other things
she had told htm. which came true, indi
cated that she knew her business.
Oscar Karbach testifies that be had heard
the read'ng and says that the death oc
curred Just as Madame Gylmer predicted.
She warned the chief to be careful on ac
count of the indications which pointed to
his death. She also told him that be was a
man of nervous temperament." and that he
was going Into something which would
rove fatal. Mr. Karbach stated thst the
lste chief seemed to speak of this matter
In a Jesting way. However, be mas so in
terested that he went to see this gifted
woman the second time.
Can any more be said to prove that palmistry is genuine and that Mme. Gylmer
la a genuine palmist.

Another Extraordinary Prediction by" Gyl
mer, Omaha's Favorite Palmist
C. F. 8. Johnson, night yardmaBter of tht
Burlington was interviewed yesterday by
a Bee representative, and says that
Madame Gylmer predicted the suicide of
his wife, Eda Selma Johnson, which oc
curred on March 10. 1900, by drowning her
self in Rlverview lake. Mr. Johnson sayt
that his wife had been missing for about
four days prior to March loth and, while
he had no confidence in fortune telling, b
decided to consult Madame Gylmer, as ha
waa exceedingly anxious to obtain some In
formation concerning the whereabouts ol
his wife. He looked op this as a last re
sort. However, he has changed his mind
and says that the lady evidently has re
markable power. Mr. Johnson says he ap
plied to Madame Gylmer about 11 a. m., on
the rooming of March loth, and she toid
him that be was in trouble regarding hit
wife. She also said that bs would get
news of her suicide. This was only too
true, for Mra. Johnson's body was found in
Rlverview lake that day. and Mr. Johnson
was apprised of the fact that evening, just
as Madame Gylmer had predicted. Mr.
Johnson further states thst the lady toid
mm 01 many incidents of his past lite, nos
many children he bad, and all that could
be expected through a reading.
