the bark statement waa lessened by the

In the capital account of the Western Na

Is estimated that the account is overetsted
to the amount of more than M.iM4f by
reason of thi adjustment. The loan e

known movements of money. The 8X.0IM.oii0
pyrrnt to the s ibtreasury on accojnv of
the t'entral Taclhc note waa made last
Saturday and was not figured for a lull
week in the averages. The decline in
prices which followed the publication of
the statement developed so large a demand
ir'm the shnrt sellers yesterday that an
effective rally followed and tha market

The WabRsh movement waa apparently
based on the news of the step taken to

SHEEP There were several cars of sheep
rejorted this morning, but up to a late
hour not enough of them ha 1 arrived to
make a teen of the market but it la safe
to say that good stuff would have brouaht
Stesdy prices. The supply for the ink
hss been very heavy, as there 1 a big gain
cvr the earns week of lat year, but as
compared with last week there 1 not much
ehsnge.
The demand on the pr.fi of locsl packers
hat been of very liber 1 proportions s'.l
the week, bo that good stuff ha met with
ready sale It Is safe to quote the general
market active and steady to strong, which,
of course, means that a pood ninny sales
have been fully a dime higher than the
same klnis brought lust week. Prime
wethers, and yranings in particular, have
told to good adVHTitHKf . The common "tuff
on most days sold at satisfactory prices,
but still whenever receipts sere more lib
eral than usual puckers would pound the
half-fat stuff to a greater or less extent,
but that is to be expected
The demand for feeders has been fullv
qua to the supply ail the week, and prle4i
may le quoted strong.
