Total 4.167 8,535 C.722 CATTLE There was another fairly lib eral run of cattle here this morning, but the demand was also of good proportions, so that trading was active at prices ranging strong to a dime higher on all . desirable grades of killers. Thire were fully forty cars of cornfed steers here this morning, and the buyers were all out early, biuulng good strong prices. The cattle soon began to move toward the scates, so thut all the desirable grades were soon disposed of. The quality of the cattle as a whole was a little better than yesterday. As is generally the caee when there Is an sctive strong market a good many sales wire 5(&loc higher. The commoner kinds, of course, did not move quite as freely, but still they-brought fully us good prices as were paid yesterday. Tho cow market was even more brisk than the trade on cows, and the market could safely be quoted generally a dime higher. Some sales. In fact, looked as much as 5c higher, 'mere were a good many cows and heifers on sale, but still there weie none too many to meet the demand and an earlv clearance was made. All kinds were in good demand, the canners and medium grades as well as the belter grades of cornfeds. There wus not much Improvement In the bull trade, though It was, perhaps, a little easier to make satisfactory sales than was the case yesterday. Veal calv?s con tinued in good demand at strong prices. There were quite a lew siocaers ano feeders on the market and anything de sirable sold freely at good, steady to strong prices. The weights did not make as mucn difference as the quality, lor buyers were very slow about taking hold of the com moner grades. They sold, however, for fully us good prices as were paid yesterday.
