He made a decided hit when he swore that he stood In fear of his wife through her repeated threats that ' she would "make him fit for a coroner." He explained that be might have bandied Mrs. Miller roughly during these attacks, put not through anger on his part The court believed his story, turned a deaf ear to the tale unfolded by Mrs. Miller -and released the prisoner.
