answering the ring of the telephone to
hear the question la a childish, voice,, "Are
you Santa Claus?"
The sergeant road a noncommittal ans
wer, which was taken by his questioner as
"Well, please, I'd like a pair of skates."
Patsy put his hand over the receiver of
the 'phone while he laughed, and then
asked, "What size do you wear?" At the
other end of the line he beard the ques
tion, "What site do I wear, mamma?" and
the patient, reply, "I don't know, my
child." . .
"Well," contlued the sergeant, "you try
to be- a good boy until Christmas and we'll
see what we can do."
