' Judge Dickinson doesn't know yet whether Grace C. Bruce should have temporary ali mony from George H. Bruco, who is suing for divorce from her. The matter was argued most of the forenoon and the judge then reserved decision until he can find out just what has been done for Mrs. Bruce by the New York courts. It is understood that they have allowed her maintenance of 1100 per week and $250 attorney's fees. ' The Bruce case has become one of many contradictions. Mrs. Bruce, In one ot her. affidavits, alleged that her husband had informed ' her that he had an income - of 110,000 per year, but on the stand Friday morning he testified that though he , had $10,000 when he married her he had only $10 when she left him; four year later; He stated also that his present cash assets amount to but $15, though he - has his card as counsellor-at-law on the door ot an office In the New York Life building and was a member of the New York State Bar association before coming to Omaha, g little more than six months ago. ' ' He has charged Mrs Bruce with de serting him and she is fighting the case ' through Baldrlge ft DeBord, local attor- ; neys; averring that she has not money to appear In person unless the court will compel plaintiff to pay the expenses of her trip from Brooklyn, where she is reels dent at. 605 Hancock street. In her answer she alleged that it was Bruce who did the deserting and It devel ops also that recently, after his suit was started, she applied to the New York courts for separate maintenance and was allowed ' $100 per week and attorney's fees, hut can not collect because be Is in Omaha and aba In Brooklyn. It Is to make certain of the existence of these orders that Judge Dick inson has taken time for ruling on her motlen here for alimony and suit money. In one ot her affidavits Mrs. Bruce not only charges infidelity, but affirms that her husband prior to leaving her used to say that ha had paresis, was not responsible for what he did and, therefore, could kill her without being made to answer for It. It is generally understood that the Brueea were of considerable prominence in New York and this is partially corroborated by the fact that the Ootham paper are con tinually ordering their Omaha corre spondents to wire the latest developments in the proceeding.
