CHANCE TO BE THE WESTERN CHAMPIONS Bhoald Mlnarsota Defeat Michigan Its Claim to that Position In tlia WtM WoiU Bo Beroad DUpate. CHICAGO, Nor. 22. (8peclal Telgrm.) Nebraska university haa decided to knock at the door of the Western Intercollegiate conference for admittance to the "big Bine." A formal application haa been filed br the foot ball authorltlea of the Institu tion, and Prof. Fred E. Clementa, ad junct professor of botany, baa been ap pointed to attend the annual session of the conference to be held at the Victoria hotel on Friday, November 28, and repre sent the claims of Nebraska to be reckoned with the other strong educational tnatltu tlons of the west In athletic. Nebraska was a member of the Western Intercol legiate Amateur Athletic association, com prising such schools as Drake, Knox, Lke Forest. Oberlln, California, Notre Dame and others. It Is their desire to drop swaddling clothes and change the name from the "Big Nine" to the "Big Ten" by Joining the conference. The members of the "Big Nine" at present are Chicago, Mich igan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Northwestern and Purdue. In presenting their claims to recognition Nebraska will be assisted by the repre sentative of the University of Mlnneaota. It Is said. It la argued that Nebraska can now give a creditable performance iu the athletic world, but that It Is not a large enough Institution to maintain the high standard set by the former "Big Five" and would soon be dropped to the foot of the lst. If not from the conference. LINCOLN, Neb.. Nov. 22. Coach Booth of the University of Nebraska baa Issued the following statement relative to the Ne braska foot ball team's position in the west: Nebraska at present occupies a unlqutf position In western foot ball. It is a daric horse to the critics. Very few have seen It play. Score mean absolutely nothing and the only test of a team strength is in games actually played. , Minnesota was outplnyed from start to finish and Nebraska's touchdown was earned, if any ever was. The critics say that the Gophers were caught napping in the early part of the season; that they are far stronger today than when Nebraska de fen ted them. . Is It not part of the business of foot ball not to be caught napping? Minnesota be gan its practice two weeks earlier than Ne braska. Again, has not the Nebraskans had an opportunity to improve during the same period? ... If Nebraska, defeats Northwestern on Thanksgiving day and Minnesota beata Michigan, Nebraska can claim the western championship without a doubt JUDGES INVESTIGATE RACE Do Not Like Illowaho'a Ihswlsg at Ina-leald and Make am Examination. PUTTINQ IT STRONd Bnt Doesn't It Look Reasonable, , This may read as though we were putting It a little strong, because It Is generally thought by the majority ot people that dyspepsia In Its chronic form Is Incurable or practically so. But we have long since shown that dyspepsia is curable, nor Is It such a difficult matter as at first appears. The trouble with dyspeptics Is that they are continually dieting, starving them selves, or going to opposite extreme, or else deluging the already over-burdened stomach with "bitter "after-dinner pills," etc., which Invariably Increase the difficulty, even if In some caaes they give a slight temporary relief. Such treatment ot the stomach simply makes matters worse. What the stomach want Is a rest. Now, how can the stomach become rested, re cuperated and at the aame time the body nourished and sustained? This I a great secret and this 1 also the secret of the unform success of Stuart's Dyspepsia Tablets. This Is a comparatively new remedy, but Its success and popularity leave no doubt a to It suerit. The Tablet will digest the food anyway. regardless of condition of stomach. The sufferer from dyspepsia, according to direct loos, la to at an abundance of good, wholesome food and use the Tablet be fore ad after each meal, and the result will be. that the food will be dlgosted, no matter how bad your dyspepsia may be, because, a before stated, the Tablet will digest the food even If the stomach. Is wholly Inactive. Te llluetrate our mean ing plainly: It you Uke 1,600 grains of meat, egga or ordinary food and place It In a temperature of 9$ degrees, and put with It one of Stuart' Dyspepsia Tablets, It will digest the meat or eggs almost as perfectly as If the meat was enclosed within the stomach. ' The stomach may be ever so weak, yet these Tablet will perform tb work of digestion and the body and brain 'will be properly nourished and at ths same time a radical, lasting cur ot dyspepsia will be made, because the much abused stomach will be given, to some extant, a much needed rest. Your druggist will tall you that all of tb many remedies advertised to euro dyspepsia none of them have given So couplet and general satisfaction a turt' Dyspepsia Tablets, and not lat la Importance la these hard times I the fact that they are also tb cheapest and give U.S moat good tor th least moaey.
