game ef ths aeries from Omaha today by
a acore of 6 to 2.' The game was excltlua
throughout and' at all time the fanatlra
were atlrred up to a btRh pitch of en
thusiasm. Eyler did the twirling for Den
ver, while Brown officiated on the alah
for the vliltors. Both pitched an excellent
game, with Eyler having the best of It.
Ha atruck out nine men and did not give
a single pans to flrat. Brown was hit
freely, being touched up for ten alngles
and two-bagger, while Eyler held the
Kldnapera dovn to four scattered hlta.
The cluba aUrted the flreworka In tha flrat
Inning, when Jones came galloping oyer
tho rubber on a hit by Dundon, followed
a second later by Frisk, who came In on
Ramey'a hit. Dundon stole noma while
Stewart h?ld thn hall at second, wrangling
crcr a decision of Umpire Mesmer. -Ra.l-cliffe
went out on a groonder to first and
retired the alde In Omaha's halt of the
aecond inning they acored two runs, and
It certainly began to look like "Pay day."
Stone went to first on a three-striko
passed ball by Wilson. Dolan came io
th rubber and hit a nice single, advanc
ing Stone to aecond, and Thomas acored
them both by a low fly to deep center.
This ended the run getting until the sixth
Inning, when Jones and Dundon emulated
the performance of the first Inning. Frisk
acored another In the eighth, when he hit
aafely to first, stole second and galloped
home on Ramey'a hit. Omaha tried hard
to acore In the ninth, but In vain. With
two men on bases and two out, Graham
was sent to bat In place of Burg. lie
awlped out a grounder, which was gobbled
up by Eyler, who threw to flret and ended
the game. Attendance, 3,000. The score:

contested In three heats. Prince Alert win
ning the first and third heats and money.
In the first heat Anaconda was headed all
the way around the ring, Dlckerson making
a bid for the heat In th last quarter, but
without avail. The second heat was a big
surprise to the betting fraternity. The
horses got away after scoring twice and
when half way up the stretch Dlckerson
began driving with Anaconda and he quickly
passed Prince Alert, winning by over a
length. This performance won rounds of
applause.' Upon rtquest of Mr. Demarest
Curry was placed behind Prince Alert In
the third heat. Boon lifter the horses get
away. Anaconda went (o the front and
maintained this position all the way
around, until the stretch was reached, when
Prince Alert let out a kink and came up

aa If being driven as a pair. Inch by Inch
Prince Alert gained on his plucky rival and
when the wire was reached Anaconda's nose

Prince Alert was the favorite In the bet

Chimes, and they did It In great style,
Schley Pointer finishing first and Dandy
Chimes third. At the start of the fourth
brat Chimes went to pieces and fell to tha
rear, Schley Pointer leading clear to the
wire. In the fifth heat Oeers made a try
tor the heat in the stretch, but his horso
was :i out, Schley Pointer finishing flrat.
Buckthorn second and Dsndy Chimes third.
