UNCOLN, Aug. 7. Special.) Prohlbl-
tlonists of Nebraska met In state conven
tion at tfce Auditorium in this city this
afternoon for the combined purpose of
nominating candidates, adopting a platform
and raising a campaign fund. There were
thirty-Bve counties represented oy a tow j
of 144 delegates.
The convention was called tt order ' by
State Chairman C. C. Beveridg of Fre
mont. Rev. Parker was chosen -temporary
chairman, and D. H. DU worth temporary
secretary. Mies Emma Hedges cf Lincoln
and 8. D. Fltchle, also of Lincoln, were
ebosen as assistant temporary secretaries.
This ergcnltatlon waa made permanent and
the convention then proceeded with Its bus
iness. - The resolutions adopted doaouaflaM
In vigorous terms everything which In Any
way aids the liquor traffic and pledges ,the
