There were some cattle that snowed considerable quality, and they also sold to good ad vantage. The tendency of prices was up ward on all desirable grades of fat cattle. There was a fair sprinkling of fat steers here today, and the market could safely be quoted active and 6ff 10a higher than yesterday. Aa high aa 86.45 waa paid for a bunch of steers, but they were of good quality. The advance today was general 00 all grades with the possible exception of the very common kinds. Buyers were all out eany and it only took a short time for everything on sale to change hands. There was also a good demand for cow stuff where the quality waa satisfactory. There was not mucn cnange in tne prices paid, but still the market could be quoted active and fully steady. As high as 85.60 waa paid for a full load, which Is the hlghestprice of the season for a load of cowa. The medium kinds of cows and the canners were neglected, the asms ss they have been all along, and packers did not seem to care whether they got that class of cattle or not. For that reason the prices paid are uneven and the market cannot be quoted any more than steady, nulla veal calves and steers sold in lust about the same notches they did yesterday.
