season In cattle receipts, .over 200 cars bsing
on sale. Tho demand 1111 the part of both
packers ard yard traders was In good
shape, so that the market ruled active and
fcteady to stronger on nearly all kinds of
desirable grades.
Thero were about twenty cars of cornfed
steers on salo today, anil It was not long
before thev were nractleallv all out of first
hands. There was considerable cotnpetllloii
for them and steady to stronger prices wero
paid, ana some sales looKeci quite a mi.e
hlKher. A bunch of tiftv-rtve head we gh
lng 1.272 pounds. Bold nt J5.90, which l tho
highest pr'ce of the season to date.
The cow market was well supplied this
morning, about liny cars being on sale,
Pockers took hold In good shape, however,
nnd paid very near steady prices for the
kinds they wanted. In some cases, thougn,
