HOGS There wns another good run of
hogs hern todny, making the supply so
far this week the largest by a big majority
for a good many months. Local packers,
however, seemed to want the hogs and
thov bought the heavyweights 2495a
higher than yesterday's general market.
The general run of good mixed hogs sold
at $5,624. with tho hotter loads ut $5.65. The
choice heavyweights went mostly from
$5,674 t" The market was fairly nc
tlvo at tho advance on tho good hogs, but
the same ns yesterday thu lightweights
were very slow sale and wero lett until tho
last.
Tho last hnlf of the market was very
slow nnd weak, particularly on tho light
hogs. They sold very largely from $5.55 to
$5.60. Tho light trashy stuff, running down
to pigs, bold from $5.55 down. Owing to the
fact that packers do not want tho lUht
stuff It was rather late before a clearance
was mauf. ine uuik or nil the hogs today
