St. Paul gave Omaha the final game In
tlio Berk' in nn exhibition that va re
Ilo( with lidding orrars, errors of Judg
ment that cannot hi shown In the score
und. general l.d playing. Of the eight
men who had tleldltig chances nil but two
broko Into tbu eiror column. Center
Fielder Llppert, one of the new Salnto,
dropped .,,a , fly In center, dropped a ball
that was thrown to him In relaying It Into
the-dluraomt and threw another ball almost
Into the grandstand In trying to cut a
man olt at the platu.
Qordon was In tho box for tho visitors
.ami held the fc'alnls down to six hits, but
he wns( wild, giving six free passes. On
nccount of bad base running only one of
thesu developed Into a run. Tho Saints
bunched, three of their hits with n basu on
balls In th' third and secured the only two
runs that they made In that Inning. After
that hlt woio ns ncarco as $1,000 bills.
(InndlnK again played a beautiful game
behind tho lint, accepting nil chances that
came- hip. way and nipping five men on the
basts. Thomas pitched n fair game for
tho Saints, allowing but eight hits, which
were well scattered, except In one Inning
and In that ono Inning" tho visitors were
unable to score on three singles. This
was duo to tho fact that Ilyan trapped n
fly ball In left field, Rlammed It In to sec
ond and, doubled Cnlhoun iiud Held after
both had singled. Oculns' hit, baso on
ballo to Stewart and nn error gave Omaha
her first run In tho fifth. Two moro were
added In tho sixth on, finding's hit, field's
.saorlffee, an error and. a baso on balls to
Calhoun. Letcher's double, McAndrews'
slnglo and nn error brought In the final
run In the eighth. Score:

CHICAQO, June 17. Notice ot Injunction
was served this afternoon on the ofllciaU
of the Harlem race track, as the result ot
Judge Holdom having granted a writ
against pool selling at the track. The
sport was not, however, interfered with
this afternoon. Whether the effort to stop
racing v. Ill be successful the track owners
do not venture to say. The moemcnt orig
inated tn the old war between the pool
room keepers, John Condon, the proprietor
of Harlem, and his partner. James O'Lcary,
having antagonized other pool room men
who have succeeded In enlisting the help
ot some prominent politicians. The latter
have the co-opcratlon of the Citizens'
league, and all racing In Chicago may bo
stopped, It Is nnnounced, however, that
thtro will be no Interference with next
Saturday's derby.
