building, Just east ot the I'utoii Pacific
depot here, to be uied a n club house for

bo $30,000, while the furnishings and fit
tings will nggrcgnto $20,000 additional.

Telegram.) President Hurt of tho Union
Pacific passed through Cheyenne' tonight.
In an 'Interview ho confirmed the report
that the compnny will build a mngniflcent
club house for Its employes here during
tho coming Bummer, to cost about $M).000.
Mr. Hurt also said that the Athol hill cut
off will not bo built this year, but an to
other proposed Improvement work he could
not suy. The consolidation with the South
ern Pacific, he .said, litis altered the plans
of tho Union Pacific nnd It Is probable
thnt much of tho money appropriated for
the mnln line Improvement will hnvo to bo
spent on the Central Pacific, which Is sadly
