Mr. Albertl appeared before the meeting
of the McKltiley and Koopevelt club Tues
day night and nfter reading the above ,
clipping from tho World-Herald he stated '
his withdrawal from the club was a matter,
purely In which politic had no part, that
to far as tho club was concerned he was
ready nnd willing at nil time to work for
tho bet interests of the club and the re
publican ticket. He said that the day he

the republican ticket nnd that he had voted
none other since; that on November C. limn.
If ho lived, ho would reach his forty-fourth
birthday nnd that he would surely vote fori
McKlnloy. protection nnd prosperity He
tald further that the remembrance of dem
ocratic souphousos and the Cnxeyltes and
Kclleyl'tes was too fresh for him to think,
even for a minute, of voting for anybody
or anything that savors of democracy.
He said that probably the statements of
tho World-Herald regarding the withdrawal
of other republicans from the republican
party contained no more truth than did
Its statement in regard to himself, which
was the rankest sort of a fake.
His remarks were greeted with frequent
and enthusiastic upplnusc At the Invita

anybody In Joint discussion on the political
