destruction by fire this morning of tho Mor
rison hotel, located on Vistula avenuci Tho

Tho fire, which is supposed to hnvo been
of Incendiary origin, started shortly after 1
o'clock and wa followed almost Immediately
by a terrific explosion. Before the flro de
partment arrived tho whole building was in

barely escaped with their lives. Mrs. F.
Smith, an actress, waa blown through ono
of the windows and had one of her legs
broken besides being seriously burned
