Thomas Kelly, residing at Thirty-third
and L streets. South Omaha, an employe of
John Flynn, was enjoying a can of beer with

when an outiddcr appeared and started a
rough house. During the melee Kelly re
ceived a deep and painful wound In the left
groin, which was attended by City Physi
cian Ralph. Kelly was taken to his home
and Is expected to recover. The detectives
and patrolmen nrrcuted a dor.ua or more
"moochers" from whom tho olncer picked
one John Ryan as the man who bandied the
knife. A bloody knlfo was found In his
pocket and hl shirt and vest wero covered
with gore. Ryan fits tho description given
and will bo confronted with tho victim for
identification.

Georgo Wilson, an all-around crook, en
tered Wolf's pawnshop at 1211 Douglas
street about noon Sunday during tho ab
sence of tho proprietor. Ho was about to
leave when noticed by Mra. Wolf, who bad
been in a rear room. Sbo called to him
to stop, but ho declined tho Invitation and
ran from tho storo. Cblof Donahuo was
nearby and gave chase, followed by a num
ber of citizens. Wilson ran a few blocki
until ho met Detective Savage, who ar
rested him. A Revolver, gold watch and a
sum of money which Wilson had utolen from
Wolf's, were found in hl pockots. Tho po
llen recognized him as an old-timer and a
valuablo catch. He was Identified by Wolf
and also by others for previous Jobs, for he
baa been doing many Jobs of tlll-tapplnf
and other crooked work.

D. W. Wooloy, a 16-year-old boy, at
