this morning in tho county court yard. The
execution was witnessed by about fifty 111011.
Clevenger met death fcarlcfsly and walked
upon tho scaffold unnssUted. At 4 o'clock
this morning he was taken from his cell
to tho county collector's oftlce, where his
spiritual advisers prayed and talked with
him. He aid he had made peace with God
and was ready Io die.

murder, near Missouri City In 1S97, of George
Allen and Delia Clevenger, tho latter h's
