Cudahy said, had been operated as the prop
erty of the Cudahy Packing company, at a

discussion, he said, was to formulate a plan
to go Into the Ice bu;lncs. and Talbat was
appointed to negotiate with the South
Omaha and Arctic Ice companies.
Mr. Cudahy was questioned as lo the na
ture cf Mr Talbot's later report, when the
defense enteted the objection that such a
statement would not be the beat evidence

the point, remarking, with a wave of tht
hand, that the Reservoir company only de
sired that the whale facts should be brought
to light.
The witness said that list of properties
of the various concerns was Included In the
report, with the market price of each at
tached. The further Information was se
cured that each dealer withed to go out of
business. Mr. Cudahy had no Idea as to
whut price was paid for the Arctic, South
Omaha and Lacnoreaux companies and could
not recall that any discussion of competition
had been entered into. Those who had taken
stock in the new concern had paid for it In
cash. Mr Cudaby'r holdings amounting to
115,000. The witness tild, however, that
he wae not now Identified with the com
pany, having severed his connection several
weeks ago. The total paid-in capital of the
Reservoir company he believed to be J60,00ii

The building trade council Thursday night
disciplined the executive board and left the
council without head of formation for h
week. The fun began when the secretary
read the minutes of the previous meellng
showing that there was no demand made for
the resignation of the executive officers. In
a minute W H. Bell was upon his feet de
manding that the minutes be corrected to
show that the resignation had been de
manded. The president of the council sided
with the secretary. Tb council sustained
the delegate from the painters' union and
the minutes were changed to conform with
the council's Idea of the facts. Then reso
lution was pafesed declaring the offices of
president, vice president and secretary va
