letter has been received from William
Locrpatcl , a former Black Hills man , who
writes while on the way by steamer through
the Bering sea to Capo Nome the new min
ing district. The letter states that nt least
3,000 people will winter at the capo nnd
next spring there will be a great rush for the
fligglngs. The district is reached easier than
the upper Yukon , being about 1,800 miles
from Dawson City and 100 miles from the

then held n reception of Hart's victims , a

stance Hart admitted hla guilt.
