CATTLE It was another day of moderate
cattle receipts , less than a hundred oars
being reported In the > ards Of the cattle
here there were about twenty cars of corn-
feds and some six. cars of 'lexns and that
constituted about all the beef steers on
sale The demand was good and the mar
ket active at strong prices , so that every
thing changed hands at an early hour. It
Is safe to sa > that good kinds of beef steers
are 1520c higher than a week ago. There ,
wore a. few loads of pretty good fat cattle
here , which sold at $58555595. but the most
of the olferinjrs consisted of short-fed cattle *
Cows and heifers were in fair demand at
steady prices and the market was without
neivv features of an > impoi tnnce Good fat
bulls sold at just about stnady prices
There was a firm feeling to the feeder
trade , but It was hardlj to be expected that
chero could be any advance so near the
close of the week , even though fresh re
ceipts were so light and supplies in hands
of speculators practically exhausted The'
few cattle hero pold In a short time , the
movement being fairly active at prevailing
! prices. Good native feeder bulls were good
. sellers and strong and the supply was soon
I exhausted. Old and rough western bulls
were no more than steady. Representa
tive sales.
