NEW YORK , March 27. Nearly all stocks made advances today and some of them were of material proportions , Vari ous reasons might bo nHslfrned for the movement In Individual stocks , but the principal motive for the g-eneral rise , ap parently , was that the steady advance of prices of late had aroused the ouuJdp pub lic to buy. The dealings reached nearly 1,250,000 shares. Aggressive bull manipulation by the lead ers of speculation had seemingly caused the public to coasc waiting for an Im mediate opportunity to secure slocks nt n lower level. The market opened under an Impetus of higher quotation.- ! from London and though larger realizations on profits was -apparent from time tb time the ad vance continued , pretty steadily until near this clo'e , when the rnte for cnll money reached C per cent , leaving the range for the day from 4 to fl per cent , with the Inst .oan at 5 per cent.
