NEW YORK , Dec. B. Brewers represent
ing 85 per cent of the beer manufacturers in
the United States will hold a special meet
ing In this city next Wednesday. The con
gress has been called by the United States
Brewers' association Delegates will attend
from all over the country.
It is stated 'that It is the object of the
brokers to pass resolutions calling upon
cctigrcss to abolish the war tax on beer.
The delegates present will represent a
capital of more than HO-,000,000. ThU will
bo the first time In the history of tills city
or any other city where so many millionaire )
brewers < have gathered In one hall at the
name time. Just what uctlon will bo taken
toward having the war tax on beer repealed
has not been decided upin yet. U Is likely ,
however , that a delegation of brewers wll |
