street car on the Tacoma railway line wan
derailed flvo miles from tha city on the
Stellacoom road laut evening by the con
troller refusing to shut off the current on
a heavy down grade. The car wns smashed
to splintorj by striking the side of a cut
ten feet deep , through which It was travel
ing. Seven persons were aboard and all
received Injuries , und Fay Roberts , motorman -
man , may lose a leg. Ho was plotted under
