The lilans for the elaborate flower parade
are atout completed , and the enthusiasm
among those who will participate antI their

The parade vlIi start from the Sixteenth
street entrance at 6.O : o'clock p. m. The

still more appalling that no one will be

One of the most elegant turnouts in the
varade will be that of Jack Cudahy. his
high spider will be solidly banked In pure
white bride roses , with ruchings of white

rosca. A footman on the rumble will have
a correct livery of white cloth.
Another very handsome turnout will be

women will be gowned in pink and green.
Mrs. J. M. Metcalf and Mrs. A. P. Metcalf
of Lincoln will drive in Mrs. Metcalf's cab ,
elaborately decorated with stalks of shaded
pink hollyhocks and green foliage. Mrs.
Metcalf's gown will be of white lace over
watermelon silk , while Mrs. A. I' . Metcalf
will wear vhite.
Mrs. J , N. Cornish will 'have as her
guests Miss Doherty and Miss Cole. and
will thrive a pair of bay horses to a carriage
elaborately decorated In violet shades ,

Commissioner J. J. Leeson of New Mexico
has received notice of the shipment of a
considerable amount of additional material
for his exhibit. One of time now features are
tour boxes of very rich gold ore from the
Cochiti district , the Klondike of New Mexico.
This ore Is rich , and the district that It
represents is now In process of rapid do-
vclopment. Icently fifty-three carloads of
machinery wore shipped to a single mine ,
and Commissioner Leeson is confident that
the Cochltl camp will become one of the
greatest producers of gold in the southwest.
The frLIit raisers of New Mexico are preparing -
paring to make themselves known at the exposition -
position , A carload of the famous mission
grapes from the MessIlla and Rio Grands
valleys and Los Cruces is in prospect for
free distribution , and this will ho accompanied -
panied by a large shipment of native wInes ,
which vill also be gi'en away to exposition
visitors. The Santa Fe Horticultural society -
ciety will send quantities of apples , pears ,
peaches and late aprIcots. The cream of the
exhibits from the territorial fair will also
be shIpped to Omaha for exhibition at the
exposition.
An Interesting addition to the exhibit will
be specimens of eighty varieties of the cacti.
These will be divided between the agricultural -
tural nnd the mineral exhibiL Another fea-
lure that will be Installed early next week
is a table constructed of agatized wood , and
trimmed with agates , which represents a
financial investment of over $3,000. This Is
the property of the Women's I3oard of Trade
of Santa Fe , and it was one of the most
notable features of the western exhibits at
the World's fair. Since then it has been in
the IOssession of a Chicago firm , but has
lately been secured for the expositIon.

floated depends largely upon the expedition

Cuba , July 27-2 p. m.-All the Cuban
troops at Camp McCalla were transferred
this morning to Caimanera in time Samnoset.
They 'ill camp there awaiting orders. They
rather expect to go to Santiago.
The parting between the United States
marines and their Cuban allies was attended -
tended with some ceremony. A guard was
drawn tmp and time Cubans shouted "Viva
Amerlcano , " "Viva Cuba Libro" anti "Viva
McCalla. " It is generally conceded they
have been of great service to tue marines.
The latter remain in their original camp.
Tile preparations of the fleet continue
