The buyers all seemed to have very liberal orders , and to be anxious to pick up as many loads as possible , so that they were only n few minutes in c'earlng the pens , everything being sold and tne yards deserted before 10 o'clock. HUTCHEUS1 STOCK-Tho offerings of cows and heifers weie not large , nnd buy ers were generally reporting the average quality none IOD good. The market , how ever , was In very'good condition , the de mand being fully equal to the holdings and the trade fairly activeat fully steady prices , nulls , stag . veal calves , etc. , were all at least steady , and in some cases , stronger. STOCK CATTLE The fresh arrivals of stock cattle were not large , and still count- Ing1 the cattle In the hands of regular yard operators the supply was of liberal proper tions. trh.e market on cattle of this de scription wus not materially changed from what It was yesterday , that Is desirable thin sluff was steady and good sellers , while undesirable catUe did not move off as readily as was the case a week ago. As explained yesterday and the day before good cattle have far a few days been moro plentiful , and for that reason buyers have been able to discriminate more closely , and < are not compelled to take everything , good , bad and Indifferent , as was the case when the recelpta wore so much smaller than the demand. Parties who have been out In the country recently report that cattle are really higher there than at the yards , In other words , that the country has not came down any , but la still holding for fancy $ prices on anything at all desirable In the line of stockers.
