CATTLH Although there were 120 cars of
cattle here today the run looked small aa
compared with yesteidny and the day be-
foie , when there v\as twice the number or
more.
While the moht of the cattle hero were
westerns of the quality suitable for feeders ,
there was quite a sprinkling of cornfed
beeves , cow stuff , etc , so that the offerings
of no one kind of cattle were excessive.
The market as a whole was In quite satis
factory condition us regards the selling In
tel est .
Among1 the offerings or cornfed beeves
were some right good cattle , and one bunch
sold up to J'lOi The market on fat cattl" ,
however , was not ( suite so snappy as jes-
terdiy , but on the contrary was a little In
clined toward weakness. IHners seemed to
feel thut the > had been pacing too much
here as compired with other markets , and
with that feeling uppermost In their minds
they were Indlffeient at the best.
Cows and heifers were In good demand
and sold at about steady prices as comp -
p ired with jc-steriliy The dozen or ilftcen
louls on sale were soon disposed of.
In the feeder department there was con
siderable activity , the moleratu supply and
good demand contributing to the makingof
a good market. Prices , to Fay the least ,
were strong and really desirable or choice
