No. 1 was held up and robbed at T\\ln
mountain last night at 11.30 by two maslted
men. The two men got on the blind bag
gage at Folsom and when nearing T ln
mountain climbed o\er the tender of the
engine and , covering the engineer and fire
man with revolvers , ordered them to stop
when they reached the road crossing. At Twin
mountain t\\o men were stationed at the road
crossing with four noises and as soon as the
train stopped they begon to shoot their re-
\ol\ors to intimidate the pashcngers. Two
men entered the express car and blew open
the safe. U is
not known how much was
uecured , but It is estimated at from $5,000
to ? 15,000.
Immediately on receiving the news at Folsom -

Molnes , X. M , last night Ho believes the
amount secured by the lobbcrs was light ,
for , as a rule , only small sums are carried
over that lino. However , it Is believed that
the loss Is somewhere between $5,000 and
$15,000. Thcru were four men in the party
that con < mlltud the robbery They were sta
tioned on the blind baggage , and , It is pre
sumed , they boarded the tialn at Trinidad.

guard the engine crew , while the other two
