CATTLE The day's receipts of cattle
were somewhat larger than yesterday , 3,022
head , as against -1,158 head on Tuesday a
week ago. . .
The most of the cattle here were shipped
In for beef , but a oed many of them were
unfinished , and In the eyes ot buyers un
desirable. At the same time thera were
quite a good many pretty decent cattle
among the offering ! ? . Ttiu market wr. slow
to open , buyers acting a little bcansn , nnd
the movement of cattle toward the scales
was at no time very nci-.ve. Still they
kept selling , and a clearance was effected in
reasonably good sejaeon. Desirable beeves
brought fully steady prices , but rough and
unfinished cattle were weak.
Hutclier * ' stock was In moderate supply
anil fair demand , and the market In con-
Heeiuence not materially changed.
Stoekcra nnd feeders were In light supply
and the market about steady. Representa
