Opening at lloyd'g tonlgh't and continuing
for three nights , with matinees Saturday and
Sunday , the Corlnno Extravaganza company

Hudson , Jr. " Clarence Uogerson , the con
ductor of the company , has replaced many of
the numhcrii of the old ere with what are
said to bo sparkling gems , In accord with
the spirit of the times. Messrs. Howe and
Kerry have provided their charming otar
with a support which excels any other that
has heretofore accompanied her. The com
pany Includes Joe Cawthorno , John Page ,
Nell McNeil , John Park , II. A. Casslday ,
John H. Connelly , Maurice Robinson , John
F. Harry , George Cllne , Octavln llarbo , Nelly
Strickland , Anne Hutchlnson , Helen Holdcn

with tuneful voices. In the way of scenery
and costumes the most gorgeous and beauti
ful are promised. Corlnno Is a pretty little
woman , wh'oso appearance Is familiar to all
theater-goers , whos * ability aa a performer

hypnotic Influence demonstrate the powers
of mesmeric Influence a'nd ' succeed In thor

Members of the Omaha Gun club and a
number of railway men are at present en
joying a laugh at the expense of Erastuo
Young , auditor of the Union Pacific system.
At the annual banquet of the huntsmen the
other nvonlng the auetero official was
actually moved by the Introduction of n
subject that lies near his heart. For several
years he has been a director In the organi
zation known as "the UnionDepot com
pany. " About a fortnight agu thU corpora
tion held Its annual meeting and Mr. You as
was honored with a re-election as director.
So It wna presumed that ho was most
familiar with all the movements of the
company and of their efforts to give Omaha
terminal facilities.
It was with this thought In mind that
Colonel DIrkey , the toastmaster of the even
ing , tin hi that ho should like to call on a
gentleman present for full and complete In
formation oil a topic that was of cxcccdlni ;
great Interest to all Omahans. Ho beggcu
him to glvo all the details of the situation
and to keep nothing back. Ho then an
nounced that the newly elected director of
the Union Depot company would speak of
the work of that company and of the time
when a union depot should bo finally com-
plctrd. For once the auditor was forced to
acknowledge that ho was only second beat ,
and that he would have to disappoint his
auditors , who plainly had the best of him.

A passenger official of ono of the Omaha

plied : " 1 think there is no truth In the
report that the place of the convention may
be changed on account of somewhat previous
efforts on the part ofonto of the roads to
secure business. It Is true all the lines are
already reaching out for this travel , but
none of them can make rales until the asso

"Tho lines that are kicking the hardest
against cheap rates from Chicago to San
Francisco nro the Colorado lines. There will
probably bo a round trip rate of $50 In effect
between these two points. The rate from
Chicago to Colorado common points and re
turn ta $45. Consequently It Is thought that
the effect will bo to knock Colorado travel

proverbial klto of Mr. Ullroy. The Colorado
