The market aa n whole did not show much change In killing cattle , but was lower on feeders. The offerings of beef stc-ers were light nnd there was an entire absence of choice cornfed steers. There were a few fnlrlsh cattle good enough to bring ? I.15J4.30 | , but nonens good as the tops yesterday or day before. The most of the beef steers were natives , wllh n few cornfed westerns and some Colorado Texas , the latter welling- nt $323. The market on beeves wns slow nnd the feeling easier. The heavy decline at other market points this week has left this market rather high In comparison , and buyers accordingly were on the htar side of the deal. At the Kama time there were too fe\v cattle here to force prices down very much. While Inclined to drag , the cattle were all sold In the end. Cows and heifers were In moderate sup ply , nnd the market was active at fully steady prices. ISverythlng sold early. In the stoeker and feeder division the trade was slow and lower. For several days past the receipts of feeders have been quite largo , while the country demand has been some-thing of a disappointment. A good many eatlle have been going ; out Into the country , but a good many more have been coming In. so that there has been quite an accumulation this week. Regular yard traders were- also loaded up with cattle this morning , nnd were a good deal more anxious to sell Mian buy. Hence the feeder trade , as noted above , was slow nnd lower.
