llogs were higher and sheep fuly steady ,
while the demand was very active 011 eVery-

see.CATTLEThe receipts of cattle were
lIght , only 1,318 head being reported , as
against 2 261 yesterday. At the same tIme
there wait a gain of 500 head as compared
with Wednesday of Inst week. As was the
case yesterday the most or the cattle here
were cornfetl beeves witii a sprinklIng of
butchers' stock , feeera , etc. While there
were quite a good many right good cattle
here , buyers were cairnlng that ( ho quality
On lt average was nat up to yesterday's
standard. The market on all kinds was nc-
tlve and killing cattle were considerabiy
hiriler.

called lOc hIgher and very active at time
advance. The light run ci beef catte : at
al market 1oints for several days has made
the buyers hungr ) ' , and they were out early
anti bought freely as long as there was
anything left. With the offerings moderate ,
it diti not take very long for the buyers to
clear the yards. There were a few loads of
big heavy steers , some of them heavier
than anything seen. here in some time ,

Butchers' stock was In very light stlppy ,
only eight or ten loads ieing rcported in
time yards. The demand was very active
and the market strong' , In rome cases a

Today's supply of feeders elnaisted largely
of westerns and sand-hills cattle , time most
of ( Item selling at $3.45 and $3 57. Native
feeders were in light supply. Some light
native Cattle sold at $3.44j3.70. Time tie-
