It was a larger run thnn has been the rule ot Intej In fact , the largest since February 23. Omaha had more cattle today than Chicago , while Kansas City had more than both put together. The most of ths cattle hero were cither beet steers or stock cattle , butchers' stock being In very light supply. ' The demand for fat steers was ot a very satisfactory character and was sufllclently largo to take the most of the cattle. In splto of the unusually lurcc receipts. The feeling on the market was decidedly better than yesterday and the prices paid were on an average a little stronger. Fair , to good would describe the quality of the most of the cattle here , while , really choice lots were scarce. A few head averaging 1.5C8 pounds reached $1. and a load of 1.460- pound beeves sold at $3.90 , liut the bulk of the cattto sold Inside the range of $3.00 to S3.S3. Practically everything changed hands before the close. In the way of butchers' stock there was not much In the 'yards , only about a dozen .cads of cows and heUeis be ng on sale. The demand wns good and with so few hero the buyers were not long In picking up everything In sight and at prices that were strongon nil grades. Stackers nnd feeders were In larger supply than for some days. Yestcrdoy the supply consisted almost entirely of western ? , but today there was a very fair showing of al. grades , both natives nnd westerns. The market was In very fair shape , the demand being good and the offerings changed hands without much delay. The more liberal re ceipts this week have had some effect upon Values nnd the market Is lower on all gtadcs. Representative rales ; DEEP STEERS. No. Av. Pr. No. Av. Pr. No. Av.
